WASHINGTON,monster beats earphones, April 25 (UPI) -- Federal officials are rejecting allegations a U.S. marshal alerted reputed New York mobsters on how to avert FBI listening devices.
Mob figure Greg DePalma and Inspector Craig Caine,Monster Beats, of the U.S. Marshal's office in New York, are mentioned in FBI documents obtained by the New York Daily News. The newspaper said the documents link the pair to discussions on how to disable a cell phone bug and an insurance scam.
The U.S. Marshals office told the Daily News previous claims by DePalma regarding his nephew, Caine,Montblanc Meisterstuck, were unfounded.
"We do know that the deputy U.S. marshal is a distinguished U.S. marshal," Marshal's office spokeswoman Mavis Dezulovich told the Daily News. "He's now an inspector. You can't choose your relatives. It's not the first time this has come up."
