PARIS,mont blanc ball pens, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Kuwait this week selected French telecom company Alcatel to supply a gigabit passive optical network with voice,monster beats headphones, data and video capabilities.
The system -- a 7342 ISAM FTTU -- meets the Ministry of Communications' requirements for higher bandwidth over a "fiber-to-the-user" architecture.
"The new network will be the platform from which to provide an extensive range of broadband and narrowband services to Kuwaiti homes,Montblanc Greta Garbo," a ministry official said in Alcatel's news release. "It will position Kuwait as the country with the most advanced telecommunications infrastructure in the region."
Kuwait has been gradually replacing its copper infrastructure with optical fiber. Alcatel said its turnkey systems have been attractive to Kuwait and other nations seeking large-scale upgrades of their telecom and broadband infrastructures.Topics related articles：
